Dancers (Photographers at Work)
Published in Paperback by Smithsonian Institution Press (November, 1992)
Average review score:

Great Book Excellent collaboration w/BarishnikovThis book is excellent! Hard to get, but really worth the search. It is part of the Photographers at Work Collection and, though it's brief (50+ pages), it's is a very interesting look at Leibovitz's work. Though you may have seen some of the pics in this book in other collections, you should check the rest. Must have!

The Dark Yergall
Published in Paperback by Writers Club Press (October, 2002)
Average review score:

Timely Distopian VisionOften the great times of uncertainty seem to inspire something posyive as well. We saw explosions of the most enduring science fiction gems every 40 years or so around the times of great turmoil and conflict. I cannot imagine the world could have trully appreciated Verne, H.G.Wells, Orwell, Huxley, Arthur C. Clarke, or Philip Dick without the real life catastrophic events we lived and witnessed in the past 150 years. The deep distopian visions in their works resonnated with us because we saw strong moral spiritual message encoded in them.
The times of great anxiety and uncertainty is here once again
We could be witnessing another golden age of great science fiction revival. Certainly this "Dark Yergall" promises the return to that great tradition.

PHOTO GALLERY PAR EXCELLENCE!THIS SLIM VOLUME IS A PHOTO GEM. IT'S SILLY TO HAMMER IT BECAUSE IT ISN'T A HOITY-TOITY REFERENCE BOOK. IT IS PHOTO-JOURNALISM AT ITS BEST AND VALUABLE FOR THAT VERY REASON. THERE ARE LOTS OF OTHER TEDIOUS TOMES ON FEMINISM AS WELL AS THINLY VEILED POLEMICS. THIS LITTLE BOOKLET IS UNPRETENTIOUS AND VITAL! IT STANDS THE TEST OF TIME.

The Early Louis Sullivan Building Photographs
Published in Hardcover by William K Stout Pub (December, 2001)
Average review score:

The Early Louis Sullivan Building PhotographsIf you love architecture and want to understand the birth of modernism and tall buildings in America, and uniqueness of the Chicago school of architecture -- the inspiration for generations of American architects including Sullivan's student Frank Lloyd Wright -- you have to have this book. It is a gorgeous work of art, the design of the book is so simple and compelling, the large plate photographs do justice to both the beauty and ingenuity of the architecture as well as the architectural photography. For lovers of art books, architecture, black and white photographs, for those who want to own a book as a piece of art, this is a wise investment. I know I treasure it -- reading it is like taking a journey to the past, one in which American architects still dared to dream.

El Secreto de los Incas
Published in Hardcover by Lucaya Book Stores (01 January, 1999)
Average review score:
